Escanaba campus in the Besse Galleries. There will be more than
thirty-five healthcare organizations from across the Upper Peninsula, as well
as North Eastern and Central Wisconsin. The organizations will represent
a broad range of career opportunities from inpatient and acute, to long term
and rehabilitation, to outpatient clinic and home health. In addition to direct patient care positions
like nursing, medical assistants and care aides, there will also be the
opportunity for employment in the following areas: dietary, maintenance,
reception/admin, medical coding, social workers, physical therapy, phlebotomy,
radiology, and seasonal positions at Bay Cliff Health Camp.
According to the Michigan Works! website, in Michigan alone, there
are more than 27, 000 job openings throughout healthcare related fields.
This number includes 8,500 nursing jobs; 3,000 clinical assistants and 1,700
operational support areas.
Plus,
local colleges will be in attendance! Representatives from Bay College, Lake Superior University and Northern
Michigan University.
This event is entirely free and open to the public.
