From this year forward, Bay College will officially close both campuses, holding no office hours or classes on the Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will officially recognize this federal holiday as a time of reflection for the ideals that Dr. King held the most dear, nonviolence and equality.

Bay College will be closed Monday, January 17, 2022 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Bay College will resume normal operational hours on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

The Bay College Diversity Committee will be honoring the late Rev. Dr. King with a talk by Marie Christine Williams, a Rwandan genocide survivor, via zoom on Jan. 25th 2022 at 7pm ET. In her talk she explores the nature of forgiveness, and the healing power of compassion and service to others. The Diversity Committee will also be holding a Digital Multimedia and Poster Competition for all registered Bay College student groups and athletic teams about the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. These projects will focus on the life and nonviolent contributions of the Rev. Dr. King, civil rights and Black History.

Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”
